1. Applicant must be the son/daughter, legally adopted son/daughter, stepchild or grandchild of an active or retired Letter Carrier of NALC Branch 35 Union.
2. Applicant’s parent or grandparent must be in good standing with NALC Branch 35 Union prior to submitting the application.
3. The member may not have applied for or have held a management position with the USPS, including 204-B positions, for two (2) years prior to submitting the application.
4. Application forms will be made available for pickup at Branch 35 Union Office beginning March 1st of each year. The application form will be available at the Branch 35 website beginning March 1st of each year.
5. Applications MUST be postmarked no later than April 30th of each year. Applications may be dropped off at office or Email to NALC35SCHOLARSHIP@yahoo.com
1. Winner will receive a Five Hundred ($500.00) scholarship donated from NALC Branch 35 as well as donations. Drawing will be by lottery at the NALC Branch 35 Membership meeting in May each year.
2. One (1) scholarship winner and One (1) alternate will be drawn. If, for any reason, a scholarship recipient will be unable to use the scholarship, then the alternate will be awarded the scholarship.
3. Award are for one (1) year only. However, the winner is free to submit an application each year he or she is eligible to apply.
Scholarship Award will be deposited into the winner’s school account, established at an accredited college or trade school, in the applicant’s name.
